The Center for Global Development (CGD) is an independent, nonprofit policy research organization that is dedicated to reducing global poverty and inequality and to making globalization work for the poor. CGD conducts research and analysis on topics related to how rich country policies impact people in the developing world, including aid effectiveness, education, globalization, health, migration and trade. Their Commitment to Development Index quantifies the full range of rich country policies that have an impact on poor people in developing countries. Their website contains useful “aid effectiveness” (http://www.cgdev.org/section/topics/aid_effectiveness) and “global health policy” (http://www.cgdev.org/section/topics/global_health ) sections, as well as a listing of resources.
